This past weekend at Camp Minsi Scouts enjoyed two nights sleeping in tabins. Although it was quite chilly, Scouts managed to stay warm in their tabins and the campsite’s lodge by lighting fires. On Saturday, the troop went on a short hike and ate lunch on the way. After getting back to camp, Scouts participated in a Totin’ Chip class and had fun using the axe yard, playing card games, and getting requirements signed off. In all the weekend was very fun, with Scouts learning important skills like trail navigation, fire building, and splitting wood.
